"This dwarf palm is a very pretty, small, clustering, very tropical-looking palm from Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands with long, narrow leaflets that have silver backs. A wonderful palm for the sheltered garden in temperate climates, it will tolerate quite deep shade and, once established, several degrees of frost. Also useful in all warmer climates where its brightly colored fruits add to its charm. The leaflets are irregular and tropical appearing. Tolerates filtered light or sun in most areas. Blossoms are fragrant. Can tolerated down to 15F if protected. "
