"Amur Maple is a good hedge plant for zones 2-8, grows in most soils in sun and partial shade. A deciduous plant with dazzling yellow and red autumn colors. Acer seeds are slow to germinate and it may be the second year before you can transplant seedlings outside. This is a fast growing small and dainty gray-barked tree with white flowers and brilliant fall colors. When grown as a bonsai, its trunk can contorted into many different forms."
