Rocky Mountain Bee Plant
Cleome Serrulata
"An interesting member of the spider flower (Cleome) family. This lovely flower is under utalized in gardens everywhere, which is a shame as it is a lovely flower. It grows with rosy lavender 1/2 flowers in dense racemes from June to August. Excellent cut flower or annual hedge. This flower has been grown as a bee-crop for decades as bees love it. Rocky Mountain Bee Plant also attracts butterflies. Annual, grows 2 - 3 feet tall with trifoliate leaves. Reseeds freely. Also known as Stinking Clover."
