"This small spineless cactus has a gray-green to white-green body. Flowers with deep red throats appear after about five years. In winter, when dry and dormant, the saucer-like body shrinks to a flat disk. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 50 degrees F. Also known as a Sand Dollar Cactus."
